The callsign G8TCQ was issued to Adrian Dening in 1979. Adrian Dening is currently active as G4JBH, but still holds the G8TCQ call. Adrian is a Foundation / Intermediate Licence instructor and is particularly involved with encouraging youngsters into the hobby of Amateur Radio.
Teddah, the bear, is a serious project connected with this and we have two main aims (i) for Teddah to provide guidance on technical issues for youngsters in an "easy to read" way and (ii) to promote Morse Code by inviting youngsters to have a CW QSO with Teddah on dedicated "Bear on the Air" evenings.
Of course, Teddah always operates under the supervision of Adrian, using the G8TCQ "Teddah CQ" callsign.
